David Siegel, co-founder of Glide, reviews five startup mobile apps and explains practical principles for mobile design. He emphasizes following platform standards, designing for the context in which people use an app, and making text, controls, and calls to action clear and easy to use. Through examples, he shows how subtle interactions, distracting onboarding, unclear availability, and slow or missing feedback can frustrate users. He recommends testing apps with real users and simplifying flows around the task people came to complete.
