Volley - YC Tech Talks: Gaming 2020
Speaker
Max, co-founder of Volley, describes the company’s voice-controlled games and its plans for building games and technology for voice interfaces at Y Combinator’s Gaming 2020 tech talks.
Max describes voice as a new interface without touch or clicking, where the team is learning how to design from scratch. Volley’s games also work on voice-controlled devices with screens and on voice-controlled televisions.
Max says Volley raised a Series A about five months earlier and had grown to 25 people in San Francisco, working remotely at the time. The team is building what he calls its own Unreal Engine for voice-controlled software.
Volley was working on new games, including projects not yet released or discussed. Max invited people interested in the new platform to reach out and said the company was hiring engineers, data scientists, designers, and others.
